  • WEConnect-Certified Women’s Business Enterprise
  • Federal, regional or local government agency (must have a .gov URL)
  • Nonprofit organization (must have a .org URL or other documentation)
  • Official media sponsor designated by WBENC

Note: WBENC reserves the right to approve exhibitor status for all companies. Organizations that register without meeting the above stipulations will not be allowed to exhibit. Fees will not be refunded.

What is the ROI of exhibiting?

To ensure exhibitors have booth traffic and access to prospective business partners, WBENC offers a comprehensive marketing plan to increase conference awareness and participation that includes:

Do exhibitors receive a discounted rate for exhibitor day passes for Wednesday, June 20 only?

Yes, exhibitors may purchase up to [3] additional day passes for Wednesday, June 20 - the day of the Business Fair - at a discounted rate of $250 per pass. This pass includes all of the day's activities. These additional exhibitor day passes are available for purchase only through the online registration process.

How is booth position on the exhibit floor determined?

Booth position on the exhibit floor is determined by a point system. To ensure that your company receives the highest value and return on investment (ROI) from your sponsorship and exhibitor dollars, WBENC has adopted a point system program that offers a hands-on role in the selection of booth location. The point system was developed to increase sponsor and exhibitor ROI through recognition of your company's past support of the WBENC National Conference & Business Fair, while encouraging new exhibitors and sponsors to confirm their participation in the conference as early as possible. As an exhibitor, do I receive a reserved table at meal functions?

No. Only conference co-chairs, featured sponsors and reception/meal function sponsors have reserved tables. However, you may purchase a table for the Tribute! Dinner for $1,200. It is an option in the additional items for purchase section of the registration process.

May I serve food or beverages at my booth?

Food and beverage catering services are provided by our exclusive caterer Centerplate. Food and beverages shall not be brought into the building for consumption or sold by entities associated with your event, except by concessionaires designated by Cobo Center. Individual exhibitors participating in trade shows or conventions are permitted to distribute their product samples from their booth on a complimentary basis to their patrons, subject to the approval of Centerplate.

When do I need to have my booth setup by?

Your booth must be completely set-up by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, June 19th.

When can I access my booth on the morning of the Business Fair?

On the morning of June 20th you will be able to access your booth beginning at 9:00 AM through the Exhibitor Entrance.

When can I start taking down my booth?

You can begin to dismantle your booth at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, June 20th.

When do I have to have my booth completely removed by?

Booths must be completely removed no later than 11:00 PM on Wednesday, June 20.

Does the Business Fair close for lunch?

No, the Business Fair does not close for lunch, however a buffet will be available for a 2-hour period for those whose registrations include lunch on Wednesday.

Can I sell items from my booth?

Yes, you can sell items from your booth but you must comply with Michigan Tax Law.

When will I get my booth assignment?

If you registered before March 30th you will receive a correspondence about your booth placement during the month of April.

If you purchase a booth after April 1st you will receive a correspondence within 12 businesses days of the date you registered.

The booth assignment process for general exhibitors will not begin until March 1st. All booths will be assigned according to the Point System. Booths are assigned based on the sponsor or exhibitor package level, point total, date of registration/purchase and the order in which their booths achieve “paid in full” status.
Is electrical service included in my exhibitor package?

No, if you require any type of electricity in your booth you must purchase it through Exhibitor Services.

I've received a call from a company claiming to offer exhibitor services. Is this a legitimate solicitation?

Unfortunately, there are active scammers. WBENC will not solicit information for exhibitor services or request that you take any other action related to the events unless the message comes directly from WBENC, or, our hotel management team, Stovell Marketing and Public Relations, Inc., or, our exhibit services provider, Hargrove, Inc.
