Business Lab Circuits
WBENC is proud to offer the following Business Lab circuits at the 2019 National Conference & Business Fair.
To be successful, every business needs to set priorities, focus resources, strengthen operations, and adjust the organization's direction in response to a changing environment. The Strategic Planning Circuit will provide tools and resources to help you articulate where your organization is going, define the actions needed to make progress, learn about potential risks, and gain insights into leveraging technology.
Certification is an invaluable business tool for women-owned businesses, but it’s just a starting point. Learn how you can maximize your WBENC Certification to achieve the most benefit for your business and bottom line. The WBENC Certification Circuit will cover the ins and outs of the WBENC network and feature insights from Regional Partner Organization leaders in certification, business matchmaking, and more.
Access to Capital
Securing capital to grow and scale a business is one of the biggest challenges facing women entrepreneurs. In the Access to Capital Circuit, we will explore this issue and offer practical information to help secure funding, credit and investment.
Elevate Your Pitch
Whether pitching your product or service to a potential client or bumping into a new face at a networking event, being prepared with an effective and situation-appropriate pitch can be the key to your overall success. The Elevate Your Pitch Circuit will dive into the most common types of pitches and provide on-the-spot coaching on developing the right pitch for each situation.
Your brand is one of your most strategic assets. Who you are – and how you are perceived by others – can be just as important as what you do. The Brand Builder Circuit will help you build and enhance your brand to help you connect with clients and customers, stand apart from your competition, and derive true business value.
Design thinking is a process for creative problem solving. From start-ups to experienced business professionals, the Design Thinking Circuit will help you look at your core business challenge from a fresh perspective and will provide you with resources to drive innovation and creativity within your team and business.
Ready to go global or already doing business globally? In the Global Circuit, novices learn the ins and outs of what it means to take your business worldwide, including exporting, packaging and shipping, trade law and more. For the experienced exporter, learn about market entry strategies, identify target markets and better understand export compliance.
The Small Business Administration’s programs help small businesses win federal contracts and works to make sure small businesses get at least 23 percent of all federal contracting dollars, creating a wealth of opportunities for women-owned businesses. The Government Circuit shares meaningful resources and helpful tips for using your voice, getting prepared to do business with the government, leveraging what you know, and partnering to take advantage of more opportunities.
For business owners and busy professionals, practicing self-care is a critical element of staying mentally and physically healthy, productive and happy. The Wellness Lab will provide resources and experiences focused on preventative care and stress relief.
